Kumasi Asante Kotoko were succumbed to a shocking 3:1 defeat by Nkana FC in match-three of the CAF Confederation Cup group stages in Kitwe on Sunday.
Nkana thumped the Porcupines courtesy Ronald Kampamba’s brace and skipper Freddy Tshimenga’s strike at the Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.
Songne Yacouba’s sublime free-kick was the only consolation for the Porcupines who enjoyed a spectacular performance in Zambia.
Nkana started the encounter with a mouthwatering performance, putting pressure on the Porcupines to find the net.
Captain Freddy Tshimenga had the opener for the Kitwe based lads from a penalty spot after Ronald Kampamba was brought down in the eighteen yard box by Kotoko defender Abdul Ishmael Ganiyu.
Songne Yacouba just after three minutes that Tshimenga had the opener, restored parity from a perfect and well taken free-kick to bring the Porcupines back into the game.
The Burkinabe international showed brilliant of performance, tormenting the defense of the home side and ensuring that Richard Ocran of Nkana FC was red carded in the second half.
Ronald Kampamba had a brace in the cagey encounter through a defensive blunders from the Asante Kotoko defenders. The game ended 3:1 in favour of the Zambian side.
