Nana Afia Kobi Ampem Sporting Club (NAKA) – a first division female club in the Ashanti region have congratulated Kumasi Asante Kotoko for defeating Nkana FC 3:0 yesterday.
The Porcupines thrashed the Kitwe based side in match-four of the CAF Confederation Cup group stages at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi yesterday courtesy goals from Abdul Fatau Shafiu, Emmanuel Gyamfi and Martin Antwi.
In a release signed by the President of the club, Evelyn Nsiah Asare, states that
” You have the fire in your heart and the determination to get the job done. You will forever be the epitome of a champion to us as Ghanaians. We in Nana Afia Kobi Ampem Ladies Sporting Club congratulates the entire management, playing body and the technical team of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and we pray that they continue to win their remaining matches”.
Asante Kotoko, the only Ghanaian representative in the ongoing CAF inter-club competition will come face-to-face against Al Hilal Omdurman in their last home game on Sunday 10th March, 2019 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi before travelling to Zambia for the last group stages game against Zesco United on March, 17, 2019.
Kotoko, after that sounding victory yesterday have climbed to the second position of the group C table with six points whiles Al Hilal sit first with nine.
