Head coach of the Black Meteors, Ibrahim Tanko has argumented his squad by handing a late call ups to three foreign based players ahead of the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifier against Gabon on March 23, 2019 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Meteors will host their age-mates from Gabon at the Nation’s capital for the first leg of their qualifiers for the CAF U-23 tournament which also serves as the first stage of qualifiers for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
According to reports in the media, the players handed the invitation are two former West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) stars, Majeed Ashimeru who is currently with St. Gallen and Musa Nuhu alongside former Tema Youth and currently KRC Genk player Joseph Paintsil.
The three will join the already twenty-four players who are in camp preparing for the Gabon clash.
