Its looks like such kind of transfer in the radio industry is about to commence in Takoradi as Sekondi based Radio Silver 92.3 FM is about to lose its entire Sports Crew to one of the new stations in the Oil City.
The crew made up of Stephen Kwame Yeboah as the head, Emmanuel Owu Junior, Abdulrahim Nyass and Paa Kwesi Cudjoe as the producer are on the verge of switching camp to one of the new stations in Takoradi.
A reliable source has revealed to Kyfilla.com that, already the crew have held a meeting with the management of the new station and the deal is likely to be finalized latest by next week.
Kyfilla.com can authoritatively confirmed that, when the deal is finalized next week, the crew will officially tender in their resignation letters the following week and begin programme with the new station latest in the first week of April.
Kwame Yeboah, known for his iconic way of presentation as well as running of sports commentary and not forgetting his spots-on interviews, joined the 92.3 dial in 2015 after parting ways with Wilsad Services brand, Skyy Power FM.
He has quickly become the people’s favorite with how he puts amusement in his presentation, gaining him nominations in the Fokless Media Awards on three consecutive times.
Since his appointment in 2015, Silver has enjoyed massive ratings in listenership with his sports shows. His morning sports show is undoubtedly the most listened to in the Oil City.
Emmanuel Owu, who once upon a time, worked with Radio Shama, Goodnews FM and Kyzz FM has also in one way or the other contributed to the massive ratings the Sekondi based station has been enjoying.
He is the deputy head of sports for Radio Silver and also once upon a time, political show host for the station.
Owu known for his deep sense of analysing sports issues whenever with the microphone has gained him the nickname ‘ Mpapaemu hene’ which literally means “King of Analysis”.
Bombom and Paa Kwesi Cudjoe have also contributed to the success the sports shows of the station is choking with their high standard of productions.
