There were victories for two times National Women’s League champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Police Ladies, Kumasi Sports Academy, Pearlpia Ladies in the opening day of the GFA-NC Special Competition.
Ladystrikers impressed on day one by beating three times NWL champions, Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies 2-1 at the Aggrey Memorial Park to take early lead in group c. The other group c game saw Sea Lions snatched a 1-1 draw against Soccer Intellectuals away on the Winneba school park at Ajumako.
Pearlpia Ladies enjoyed a flourishing victory against 2016-17 Sanford FA Cup winners, Prisons Ladies at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
