Kumasi Asante Kotoko deadly goal poacher, Songne Yacouba has been invited to the Burkina Faso national team ahead of their last 2019 AFCON qualifier against Mauritania.
Coach Pauolo Duarte invited the in-form goal poacher for a debut national team call up following his impressive form for Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
The Stallions will come face-to-face against the Mauritanians in the last AFCON qualifiers on Friday March 22, 2019 at the Stade du 4 Auot in Burkina Faso.
Burkina Faso currently sit third on the group A table with Seven points whilst Mauritania lead the pack with twelve points after five matches
Songne Yacouba is expected to replicate his outstanding form to the national team to enable them defeat the group leaders to book a slot in the 2019 Total African Cup of Nations which will be stage in Egypt.
Yacouba has scored two goals in Asante Kotoko CAF Confederation Cup campaign with two assists.
