The world football governing body, FIFA has granted the Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee mandate to another six months.
FIFA in conjunction with the Government of Ghana after several meetings concluded on appointing a Committee to overseer the affairs of football in the country after the Anas Aremayaw Anas expose video documentary which uncovered the rots in the Ghanaian football.
Finally a Five Member Committee led by Dr. Kofi Amoah were appointed in August last year by FIFA to bring football in the country to normalcy. The Committee were given six months to finished their mandate which was supposed to expire on March 31, 2019.
However, upon several consultations, the Committee has been handed another six months by FIFA to finished their mandate before a new Ghana Football Association President is elected.This means, the Committee have now till September 30 this year to complete their task
Already the Normalization Committee Women’s Special Competition is currently ongoing with match day four hoping to be hurdle off on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the various eight league centers with that of the men to commence sooner.
