Adiembra Senior High School surprisingly hammered Ghana Secondary Technical School in the Western regional Super Zonals competition today at the Sekondi Sports Stadium.
Adisec thumped GSTS 7:1 to place third in the competition courtesy goals from skipper Amando Musa, Isaac Nyame and in-form Rail Stars Academy star Victor Mends.
Adisec opened the floodgates in the early minutes of the encounter, creating glaring opportunities with incisive passes.
Victor Mends opened the score sheet for the Sekondi based school in the 3rd minutes and went ahead to get the double in the 8th minutes.
Isaac Nyame had the third goal for Adisec in the twentieth minutes before Victor Mends slotted in the fourth which was his hat trick.
Mends had the fifth and the sixth respectfully, making his fifth in the game and sixth goal in the competition.
GSTS had a consolation through Alex Asampana strike and went ahead to put pressure on the defense of Adisec to get another but all efforts went fruitless.
Adisec kept on putting pressure on the defense of GSTS for more goals but all chances created were squandered.
Finally, Dreams FC loanee and captain for Adisec, Amando Musah had his first and the seventh goal in the game to seal the third place position.
Meanwhile, Takoradi Technical Institute will lock horns with Saint John’s Boys Senior High School in the finale of the competition on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Sekondi Sports Stadium in the afternoon.
