Reports reaching Kyfilla.com indicate that a young man has passed away in an ‘akpeteshie’ competition at Ntankoful, a suburb in Takoradi.
The young man with the name Hamza collapsed to death on Friday morning around 11:15am at Ntankoful in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
According to eyewitness, the deceased, Hamza believed to be in his twenties consumed 4 of the ‘quarter’ bottles of the locally brewed alcohol and collapsed in the process of taking in the fifth one.
Hamza’s challenger, who is also said to be unconscious has been revived with a mashed kenkey by colleagues who were around.
The body of the deceased is yet to be conveyed to the mortuary at the time of filling this report.
