Hasaacas Ladies whipped Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the finals of the NC Special Competition to clinch the ultimate.
Hasaacas, the pacesetters of Women’s League in the country were nearly knocked out of the competition due to a poor start but eventually put their pieces together to eliminate Sea Lions in the semi-finals via 4:4 on aggregates.
Coach Abdul Yusif Basigi’s side showed enough muscles in the grand finale to wallop the turnament favorite Ampem Darkoa Ladies 3:2 in the final to clinch the GHC 50,000 cash prize.
Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah and Mavis Owusu shot the Kumasi based side to the lead in the cagey encounter before Evelyn Badu and Milot Pokuaa could restored parity for the three times National Women’s League Champions.
Finally, topscorer in the competition, Perpetual Agyekum who doubles as skipper for Hasmal Ladies secured the third goal from the spot to snatch victory for the Sekondi based side.
The team will pocket a cash prize of GHC 50,000 as well as medals and the giant trophy with skipper Perpetual Agyekum securing the topscorer award with eight goals.
