Has the Normalization Committee thrown into the bin the assault on Referee Theresa Bremansu in the semi-final encounter between Prisons Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies?
After barely two weeks that astute female Referee in the country, Theresa Bremansu was heavily assaulted by some supporters of Prison Ladies, it seems like the case is gradually dying out without the perpetrators brought before the law governing our football.
The renowned FIFA female referee was shameful assaulted by supporters of Prison Ladies who were caught on camera during their duel against Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the first-leg of the NC Special Women’s Cup semi-final at Sunyani.
According to an eye witness, Bremansu was dehumanized for failing to add enough injury time on their game against the Nanamba and accused the Referee for masterminding their 1-0 defeat.
The supporters just after the game, trooped to the pitch, beat the hell out of the mother of one and even stripped her half naked and left her under the scorching sun.
The news flooded the internet just after kyfilla.com broke it which even got the attention of the Normalization Committee and promised to deal with the perpetrators who were caught red-handed on camera.
Some members of the current caretakers of the Ghanaian football even advised the renowned female Referee to file a complaint against the supporters of the team and also pile up all her bills before the Normalization Committee which she has done so.
But after two weeks, Kyfilla.com can confidently reveal that, Theresa Bremansu is yet to hear from the NC even though, they promised to sit on the issue whilst the Women’s Special Cup is over.
The supporter who is reported to be a Prisons Officer and was caught on camera dehumanizing the female Referee is currently free without any sanction mounted against him whiles the team have also received no sanctions from the Normalization Committee for failing to align their fans according to the rules of the game.
The action by the Dr. Kofi Amoah led Committee has seen most pundits in the game asking questions, appealing to the Committee to bring the perpetrators to book in order to rekindle Ghanaians hope of normalizing the Ghana football.
There had been other swift decisions from the NC on certain issues and that is in sharp contrast to what happened in the previous administration; this case had raised a lot of eyebrows as to whether the NC is truly willing to ensure Ghana football thrives.
