Astute Ghanaian female referee, Madam Theresa Bremansu has charged the Ghana Police Service to arrest the Prisons Ladies supporter who dehumanized her during their semi-final duel against Ampem Darkoa Ladies at Sunyani.
Bremansu was assaulted by an avid supporter of Prisons Ladies for failing to add enough injury time in the cagey encounter where the Sunyani based side lost narrowly to the eventual first runners up of the NC Special Women’s Cup.
Even though the GFA Disciplinary Committee has fined Prisons Ladies a sum of GHC 5,000 and has even ordered the team to fish out the supporter within three days or faces two matches ban, the female referee still want the ‘hooligan’ to be brought to book.
According to Madam Theresa Bremansu, who suffered from a hearing- impairement after the assault, maintained that, she will only be satisfied when the supporter has been arrested and jailed.
” I’m not concerned about the money but wants the guy who slapped me to be arrested and jailed to serve as deterrent to others”, she told Kwame Yeboah of Radio Silver.
Meanwhile, the name of the avid supporter who assaulted the renowned FIFA female referee has popped out to be Sergeant Baffour Awuah alias Bantama.
