The Ghana senior women’s national team, Black Queens thrashed Socrates Ladies Academy 11:0 in a preparatory test on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The test was to prepare coach Mercy Tagoe Quarcoe’s side ahead of the upcoming WAFU tournament in May this year at Ivory Coast.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies midfielder Grace Asantewaa had the opener in the 19th minutes before adding two more in the 26th and the 34th minutes, completing a hat-trick.
Sensational Police Ladies enforcer, Jane Ayieyam made the tally five with a brace in the 44th and 45th minutes before teammate Grace Animah followed with a 41st and 63rd minutes brace.
Northern Ladies’ Mukarama Abdulai was on the score card (49th) alongside Ellen Coleman (31st), Hasaacas Ladies Evelyn Badu (48th) and Gladys Amfobeah in the 82nd minutes.
Coach Mercy Tagoe Quarcoe admitted after the encounter, that, Socrates Ladies Academy provided a good test for her side than all the female clubs they have played.
Meanwhile, the team whipped Blessed Ladies 17:0 in their last encounter and Kyfilla.com understands, the Black Queens will play against a yet to be name a male U-15 side on Tuesday afternoon.
