The bankroller for Western regional division two side Ajax Football Club, Alhaji Fuseini Mahama has exclusively outlined his plans to Kyfilla.com when handed the mandate as the Western Regional Football Association Chairman.
The renowned football administrator who is touted by many sports pundits in the region as the rightful candidate to succeed Mr. Kojo Yankah, disclosed in an exclusive interview with Kyfilla.com at his office in Sekondi, his readiness to make officiating fees at the juvenile level, a cheaper and affordable one for clubs administrators when voted as the Western Regional Football Association Chairman.
According to the former Sekondi Hasaacas captain, officiating fee is a huge burden for club administrators at the juvenile level who have no sponsorship package and had to fund their teams from their own pockets. He maintained that when elected to take the mantle from Mr. Kojo Yankah, he will seek to a drastic reduction of the officiating fees.
” I’m much concerned about the officiating fees which is a huge burden on most club administrators at the juvenile level, because we have no other source of funds not even a sponsorship package from the Ghana Football Association. It’s a big problem for most club administrators and when voted to power, I will make sure its reduced drastically.
“I’m confident on seeking to a drastic reduction of the fees when am given the veto power as the Western regional FA boss, and I will make it cheaper and affordable for club administrators in this region.
Alhaji Fuseini Mahama also assured the Western regional club administrators a friendly and open relationship, an act according to him, the previous administration in one way or the other failed to do.
“As a person, I don’t believe in a leader who dictates to his subjects because it hinders development. When am given the opportunity to serve as the Western regional FA boss, I will have a friendly and open relationship with the clubs because without them, there’s no football association.
Alhaji Fuseini Mahama known as one of the football caucus in the Western region, is also an astute businessman who double as the Chief Executive Officer of Sekondi based Radio Silver 92.3FM and a Board Member of Sekondi Hasaacas as well as an executive member of the Western region Club Owners Association.
