Accra Hearts of Oak continued their fascinating form in the NC Special Competition after beating Elmina Sharks 3:1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Goals from Christopher Bonney, Manaf Umar and Fatau Mohammed were enough for the Continental Club Masters as they smashed the Elmina based side in week thirteen of the on-going NC Special Competition.
The wary encounter saw Christopher Bonney putting the Rainbow side ahead of the Paa Kwesi Ndoum owned club from a brilliant spot kick after Joseph Esso was brought down in the eighteen yard box by the Sharks defenders.
Manaf Umar increased the burden on Sharks with a 50th minutes header from Christopher Bonney’s freekick to send the Phobians to a 2:0 lead.
George Amoono brought a reviving spirit to the Elmina Sharks players after pulling a consolation in the 53rd minutes of the game.
Amoono’s consolation rather toppled the furiousness in the Continental Club Masters as Fatau Mohammed had the third goal in the 63rd minutes to seal victory at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The victory keeps Hearts of Oak at the summit of the tier 1 Zone B table with 28 points while Elmina Sharks sit fourth.
