Far from the necessary, this competition shows clearly there is little done so far by the FIFA, CAF and GoG’s Normalization Committee.
We deserve far better than this and this is clearly not the way up, surely there’s a better way than this.
The pileup of mess in the Division One League Zone 2B is the base for this writeup, the lawlessness and the immense energy at which certain clubs show off feathers of indiscipline forms part of this tag – clubs walk free in the end, as if there’s no father at home.
The needful applauds that trickled in on the speed at which the Disciplinary Committee brought out the ruling when Sekondi Hasaacas FC and Skyy FC match day 4 game ended abruptly was something admirable and brought about it in its path hope of perhaps something to cheer everyone up.
Clubs decide which matches to play, the organizers barely come out on such boycotts of games and apparently going against other clubs that potentially can/could move up the league log.
The competition enters game week 14, the final round of games on Sunday, May 26 with strings of indecisions from the Competition Committee challenging the merits of certain potential top table clubs.
Nzema Kotoko venue is the westernmost venue and the farthest to the west, whilst Unistar Academy and Star Madrid’s Unistar Academy Park, Kasoa is the farthest to the east and this is clear enough when both Star Madrid and Unistar Academy failed to make the trip to the westernmost venue, it was deliberate.
Unistar Academy without any prior notice(mayhaps deliberately) boycotted their game day 12 against Nzema Kotoko knowing very well the outcome of the game has influence on determining the two teams to join the already qualified culprit and Skyy FC.
Star Madrid and Swedru All Blacks have missed games with excuses of food poisoning, seriously, are we doing this now?
Few more days to the final round of matches, Nzema Kotoko hold 2 outstanding games to clear against Unistar Academy and Star Madrid.
Venomous Vipers against All Blacks is another pending game yet to be cleared.
1. Where lies the competition?
2. What are the organizers doing to Unistar Academy for not honouring that game against Nzema Kotoko?
3. How about the pending games, are we clearing that before the final group games?
4. Is this tournament a joke?
Without any prior notice for that game day 12 games against Nzema Kotoko, I think Unistar Academy shouldn’t be made to qualify. The boycott of the match day 12 encounter defeats the fine form they’ve shown in this tournament and if we have a serious governing body, this decision should not be hard to make.
How about if other clubs with no chance of qualifying exempt themselves from the tournament?
Swedru All Blacks and Star Madrid have missed games, when will the NC’s DC decide on those games?
