The organizers of the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Charterhouse has placed an indefinite ban on both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
The two Ghanaian dancehall artistes were involved in a brawl during the 20th edition of the VGMA’s.They were subsequently arrested and detained.
Charterhouse in a press conference on Thursday, May 23, 2019 in Accra have banned the two artistes indefinitely, stripped off all the awards they won on the night.
The Chairman of the VGMA Board, Nat Brew Amandzeba, during the press conference stated that, the two artistes have lost the legibility to participate in the nominations, selections and performances at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards scheme.
Also, the two reggae and dancehall artistes are to return all the plagues in their possession to Charterhouse effective today, May 23, 2019.
He concluded that for the very first time, the two topmost awards, most popular song and artiste of the year awards have been annulled.
Meanwhile, the two artistes have been granted bail after being detained by the Police.
