Asante Kotoko shot stopper, Felix Annan has assured Ghanaians of his best in the African Cup of Nation 2019 after getting the nod as one of the three goalkeepers selected for the tournament.
Coach Kwasi Appiah named Felix Annan as one of the three local based players in the premilinary 29 list for the tournament. Abdul Fatau Safiu and Mohammed Alhassan were the other two also from Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak respectively.
Felix Annan will be competing with Maritzburg United’s Richard Ofori and Lawrence Ati Zigi of Sochaux for the nod to be in goal when Ghana take on Benin on June 26, 2019 before games against Cameroon and Guinea to wrap the group F up.
The Black Stars will head to Dubai on June 1 to begin a training program where 6 players are expected to be dropped from the 29 list.
Annan showed gratitude to fans of Asante Kotoko for their support, he was talking to Kumasi based Ash FM.
