Ghana defender Lumor Agbenyenu Suleyman has sent a heartwarming message to his former club Portimonense and the fans after his transfer deadline day departure.
The left back joined Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon for four-and-a-half years in a deal worth €2.5 million.
Lumor, 21 was signed to replace Brazilian defender Jonathan Silva who left Sporting Lisbon for Italian Serie A side AS Roma on the eve of the transfer deadline day.
The new Sporting Lisbon acquisition wrote on his Facebook page: “Thanks for everything Portimonense and also thanks to all the fans.
”I really appreciate the support and everything. I am very grateful, now looking forward to start my new challenge and I hope you guys will keep on supporting me, one love Portimao. Missing there already.”
Lumor made 70 appearances for the Portimao based outfit since the 2015/2016 season.
