In its quest to identify and train Artisans to equip them with skills needed to earn a living, the GNPC Foundation, under its Economic Empowerment model, will absorb the cost of registration for over Four Hundred (400) trainees at Aseda Foundation who are due to to sit for the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) examination in September this year.
This was made known at a short ceremony in Sekondi-Takoradi to receive the Executive Director, Dr. Dominic Eduah and his team to the Aseda Foundation.
The gesture is in response to a request put forward by Aseda Foundation seeking assistance in a number of areas which include: registering the first batch of trainees to go sit their NVTI examination this year, providing tools and equipment for graduates to set them up, training more of the youth in the second phase of their project etc.

Artisans at Aseda Foundation undergo free training over two (2) years in various Technical and Vocational skills such as Photography, Shoe Making, Decoration, Hairdressing and Catering. Others are taken through trainings in Fashion, Masonry, Carpentry, Painting, Steel Bending, Plumbing, Welding, Spraying, Aluminium Fabrication, Fitting and Air Condition Repairing.
Dr. Eduah, in a short remark stated that his outfit remains ready to assist in improving the livelihood of persons in this direction. “This support to register 400 students to write their NVTI examination will not be a one off gesture. It will be sustained to ensure that many more people’s lives are positively affected,” he said.
He urged trainees to be very serious and focus on their training and desist from deviant activities such as prostitution, robbery, smoking and stealing.
The MCE for Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA), Hon Kojo Acquah, who also chaired the occasion could not hide his joy over the new partnership that has been formed between GNPC Foundation and Aseda Foundation and promised to provide free examination centres for the final year students to write their examination.
The Founder and CEO of Aseda Foundation, Madam Diana Adjei was of full of praise for GNPC Foundation for coming to their aid.
