President of Okyeman Planners, George Afriyie has called on delegates to vote for someone who is tried and tested to lead the Ghana Football Association as president.
The Ghana Football Association has been without a president since Kwesi Nyantakyi was booted out of power, after the premiere of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas Number 12 video expose.
But with the Normalization Committee’s new Ghana FA statues approved by Congress on last Thursday, the road has been cleared to elect new Ghana FA President to run the affairs of the new regime.
Already, personalities like Dr. Kwame Kyei, Kurt Okraku, Alhaji Karim Grusah, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Randy Abbey and others have declared their intentions to contest for the enviable.

But according to George Afriyie, who is also a top candidate vying for the position, the new Ghana FA presidential seat should be given to someone who is tried and tested and understands the game perfectly.
“What we need to understand is that if we look at the owners of clubs and the club CEOs and administrators who have gathered here one thing is being supreme, one that they need a unifier, that one they need someone who understands the football”.
This is not a time for “ma try ma kw3” this is a time for somebody who is tried and tested”, Afriyie told pressmen after GFA extraordinary Congress in Accra.
Meanwhile, the Normalization Committee has proposed October 27, 2019 for the Ghana FA elections.
