Team Western Region has left for Bolgatanta in the Upper East region, ahead of the 31st edition of the lnter Regional Senior High School Sports festival after a successful camping.
A contingent of 220 athletes and 35 officials left for the competition, scheduled to commence on September 11 and end at September 22 at the capital of the Upper East region.
The immediate past regional PE Coordinator, Mr Patrick Adjei Ampaw who double as the headmaster for Half Assini SHS was among the officials for the trip.

Also to make the list is the Western Region Federation chairman, Mr Anthony Rhule alongside the Metro PE Coordinator Mr Victor Farmeh, EKMA PE Coordinator Mr. Richard Ankamah and the current PE Coordinator, Mr Betrand Odoi.

The region will take part in all the ten disciplines during the competition, which will saw over 2,500 athletes across the previous ten regions of Ghana.

In an interview, the Western region PE Coordinator, Mr Betrand Odoi said “It’s the wish of the officials that, the athletes would put up a better performance than the 30th edition in Cape Coast where the region placed fourth.”
