The Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has rescinded his decision to contest for the Ghana FA Presidential seat.
Kyfilla.com broke the news earlier that, the astute businessman has decided to pull out of the race for the presidential seat after several consultations.
Nana Kwasi Gyambibi, who is the special assistant to Dr. Kwame Kyei, has officially affirmed to Kyfilla.com earlier news that, indeed the astute businessman has withdrawn from the race for the Ghana FA Presidential seat
“Dr Kyei called to inform me yesterday he is no longer interested in contesting the GFA presidency after consultations.
“His reasons for rescinding to contest is personal but he wants to focus on the way forward and wellbeing of Asante Kotoko.
“He has further told me to apologise to the numerous supporters who vowed to support his ambition of becoming the GFA president”, he told Kumasi FM.
Dr. Kwame Kyei has become the second person to pull out of the Ghana FA presidential race after King Faisal bankroller Alhaji Karim Grusah.
Meanwhile, personalities like George Afriyie, Kurt Okraku, Randy Abbey, Osei Palmer, Nana Yaw Amponsah and Dr. Toni Aubynn still maintain their decision to contest for the vacant seat.
