The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has expressed happiness with the ultra-modern multipurpose Youth and Sports Complex at Dormaa Ahenkro.

President Akufo-Addo together with the Youth and Sports Minister, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah on Monday inspected the Dormaa Ahenkro Multipurpose Youth and Resource Centre of Excellence.
This was part of the President’s two-day tour in the Bono Region which is part of the new six regions created under his administration.

President Akufo-Addo was impressed at the rate of work done on the five thousand seater- capacity edifice, which will help unearth the massive talents in the region and also nurture them for local and international tournaments.

Hon. Asiamah commended the President for his vision and the intervention at the call from the sporting fraternity by providing the state-of- the-art facilities across the nation.
The FIFA standard-sized pitch which has an eight-lane Olympic-standard athletics track, basketball, volleyball, tennis courts, ICT centre, entrepreneurship/ counseling centers, washrooms, modern restaurants, hotel facilities and many more, is expected to be ready by 2020.
