Former Goodnews 96.3FM broadcaster, Nana Yaw Gyebi has been crowned the Western Region Personality of the Year in the 2019 edition of the Radio and Television Personality Awards on Saturday.

The awards ceremony was held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday with media personnels across the length and breath of Ghana in attendance.
Nana Yaw Gyebi who was the host of Goodnews FM drive time show dubbed ‘Kwantengpong’ was for the first time crowned the Western region’s radio personality of the year.

He beat off competition from Spice FM’s three times nominee Yoofi Eyeson as well as Paa Kwesi Simpson of Connect FM who was holding the title before last Saturday, alongside other notable nominees.

Speaking after winning the award, his wife on behalf of the famous broadcaster expressed his gratitude by saying “I would like to say a very big thank you to the management and staff of Goodnews FM. I’m most grateful. Its been 8 years working with you and am most grateful for the support from the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kobby Aggrey, the General Manager Mr. Richard Anim and each and everyone who supported me. God bless you.”
