Asante Kotoko trio of Habib Mohammed, Wahab Adams and Maxwell Baakoh have been ruled out of CAF Confederation Cup playoff game against San Pedro on Sunday.

Kotoko will face the Ivorian side in the first-leg of the CAF Confederation Cup playoff round on Sunday, October 27 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi before the return-leg in Ivory Coast.

Habib Mohammed who has been a pillar at defense for coach Kjetil Zachariassen’ side, was given a straight red card in Kotoko CAF Champions League game against Etoile du Sahel in Monastir.
Wahab Adams who was touted as the favorite replacement for Habib Mohammed at the heart of defense has also sustained an injury during one of their training sessions, making him unavailable for the game.

Maxwell Baakoh too is likely to miss the encounter even though he has returned to full fitness after aggravating his knee injury during the team’s last season CAF Confederation Cup game against Nkana FC in Zambia.
Baakoh has been scheduled to undergo final surgery, where all metallic implants would be removed and he is expected to return to full action three weeks after the surgery.

Meanwhile, left-back Abass Mohammed who also sustained an injury last week is likely to miss the big game on Sunday.
