Two special need schools in the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis were full of smiles as Daily Manna Foundation, a non government organization stormed their various premises on Friday morning to support them with food items.
The Daily Manna Foundation headed by Mr. Micheal Quarshie stormed the premises of the two schools to donate food items worth a million of cedis.
The staff of the Foundation, in an adorable ceremony, donated to the two special schools with a population of 274, who have been surviving for the past three years due to the benevolence gesture of the Foundation.
Items donated to the two schools in a separate ceremony were bags of rice, cooking oils, cartons of bottled water and soft drinks, detergents, toiletries, wooden chairs and trucks among others.
Speaking after the two ceremonies, Mr. Micheal Quarshie who is widely known for his benevolent attitude, indicated that his Foundation have been supporting the schools for the past three years with other special needs schools in the Ashanti Region having their share of it.
He stressed that his Foundation have the well-being of children with developmental disabilities at heart and will continue to support them with the little profits they will annexed annually.
Twincity Special School
The headmistress of the school Madam Bilson Sai noted that, government have been supporting the school but it’s not enough due to the increase in population of the school.
She indicated that, catering for the children is very difficult but with the help of cooperate institutions like Daily Manna Foundation, her school have been keeping on even though they have other little challenges.
Mrs. Sai expressed her profound gratitude to the Daily Manna Foundation and urged other cooperate institutions to emulate what Foundation have been doing to the school.
Catholic Special Vocational School
Headmistress of the school, Madam Rose Margaret Kwofie who was all joy, thanked the management of Daily Manna Foundation for the surprised visit.

She lamented that, her school with a population of 116 children, do not have enough school building to accommodate the children. She pleaded with other cooperate bodies to come to their aid by fencing the school for them to prevent the children running out to the streets.
