The GNPC Foundation, the social investments arm of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation(GNPC) has presented GH 338,230 to two health institutions in the western region to equip their facilities to enhance service delivery.
The two institutions namely Half- Assini Government Hospital in the Jomoro District and also the Effia – Nkwanta Nurses and Midwifery Training College in Sekondi.
The Hospital received GH 191,688 , and the college had GH 146,542.
The Foundation has already spent more than GH 1.53 million on the Construction of an accident and emergency centre and provided a standby generator for the Half – Assini Government Hospital and also the completion of a wall.
At the Effia- Nkwanta Nurses and Midwifery Training College, the Foundation has also completed a two Classroom facility.
At the presentation , the General Manager in charge of Sustainability at GNPC , Dr. Kwame Baah Nuako,said the various interventions by his outif is aimed at improving the health a d well being of the people.
