The Western Region Football Association Chairman, Simon Ehomah on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 paid a courtesy call on the regional minster Hon. Kobby Okyere Darko at his office in Sekondi.

The visit was to officially introduce the newly elected chairman of the region’s football association to the minister who has keen interest in football development in the region.
Speaking during the visitation, the regional minister charged the newly elected football chairman to make football in the region very attractive and abolish referees being host by home teams before a match day.
“Make football in the region very attractive… Football matches shouldn’t be pre-determined by controlling referees and also abolish the referees being host by home teams .

The minister however advised the clubs in the region to concentrate on the marketing aspect of the game to generate more income to cater for their players and the technical bench.
Simon Ehomah thanked the minister for hosting his entourage even at his busy schedules and promised to present his plans for the season to the minister before the season commence.
He also promised that, under his administration as the FA Chairman, a team from the Western region will be able to secure a ticket to the Ghanaian top-flight football.
