FC Nordsjalland star striker Ernest Asante has announced his readiness to serve his nation Ghana when called to the Black Stars. Ernest Asante grew his career from Feyenord academy in Ghana before moving to Norway where he made much impact during his days with IK Start, before moving to Denmark where he currently plays for FC Nordsjalland in the top flight.
Asante has enjoyed smooth run of personal performance with the his club this season, challenging for the league title.
The clinical finisher has found the net 13 times already this season in the league, propelling his club to place third on the league log so far, and still pushing to occupy the summit any time soon.
While many pundits of the game believe his red hot form should have caught the attention of Black Stars coach James Kwasi Appiah, Asante believes that his debut call up to the Black Stars is just a matter of time.
“Am not worried I have not been called up yet”, Ernest Asante started, speaking to kyfilla.com. ” The are so many Ghanaian players who are also performing at their respective clubs, what I have to do is to keep my form consistent and I believe at the right time I will be called”, Asante hoped.
Asked whether he has had any encounter with the Black Stars coach James Kwasi Appiah, Ernest Asante declined saying “I have never met him before nor spoken to him, but I hope one day the opportunity will avail itself”.
Asante is currently enjoying his career in Denmark with several Ghanaian players who rose through the ranks of Right To Dream Academy.
