CAF President Ahmad Ahmad announces the appointment of Liberia’s First Lady Claire Weah wife of President George Weah, as CAF’s Ambassador for Women’s Football, the announcement was made at the 2-day CAF Women football symposium in Morocco.
The maiden CAF Women’s football symposium had stakeholders in women’s football deliberating on the progress of the game on the continent as well as discuss how best it could be further developed and promoted.
The forum also discussed marketing strategies to attract sponsorship for women’s football, as well as creating a more healthy partnership with the media.
Each member association of CAF was represented by three delegates – the president, general secretary and head of women’s football.
All female national team coaches were also invited.
