Ghana has recorded first death case from the Coronavirus pandemic on Saturday, March 21, 2020.

The Deputy Health Minister Mr. Alexander K Abban has confirmed that indeed Ghana has recorded its first death case from the pandemic.
According to the Deputy Minister, a 54-year old Lebanese who resides in Kumasi and has been quarantined in Ghana for about a week has passed away today.
“What I can say is a 54-year old Lebanese who resides in Kumasi and has been quarantined for about a week has died.

“So far Ghana has recorded 19 cases and 17 of them are imported cases. The Ghana Health Service and the Health Ministry are doing everything possible to trace every contact”, he told TV3 news.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo is expected to address the nation tonight on updates and new measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
