The Northern Region Minister Mr. Salifu Saeed has banned prostitution in Tamale with immediate.
According to a statement signed by the Minister who double as the chairman of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC), the directives forms part of measures to control the Coronavirus pandemic in the region.

The decision has been made following the sudden disappearance of a female Guinean who escaped from a quarantined facility in Tamale where she was alongside nine other Guinean nationals.

The statement vehemently indicated that anyone who will flout the new directive will be dealt with according to the laws of the country.
