The Ghana Police Service have arrested four hundred and six people for flouting lockdown rules.
According to ACP Lydia Donkor, the 406 were arrested in those areas in Greater Accra and Kumasi who are under the lockdown.

She made this known during a Covid-19 media briefing held at the Information Ministry on Tuesday.
She explained that out of the 406, 103 are in police custody while 248 have been granted bail with 41 processed for court.
ACP Lydia Donkor mentioned that if anyone is found guilty, he/she will pay between GH¢12,000 -GH¢60,000 or sentenced to 4-10 years in prison or even both.

Meanwhile President Akufo-Addo has extended the two weeks lockdown on some parts of Greater Accra and Kumasi for a further period of one week.
Also, the President has also extended the initial one-month ban on public gatherings for a further period of two weeks.
Ghana has so far recorded 566 cases of the Coronavirus pandemic with 8 deaths.
