The increasing number of radio stations in the Metropolis alone makes access to information easier, facilitate businesses, reduces unemployment and on top of it all deepen the country’s democracy.

For the past five years, the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis has welcomed about ten(10) radio stations with about four off air.

The establishment of Skyy Power FM in 1997 as the first private station in the region, comes with the likes of Goodnews FM, Rok FM, Spice FM, Radio Silver, Aseda FM, Kyzz FM, Beach FM, Radio Maxx and host of others.[ads2]
The likes of Radio Shama, Nyansapo FM and Radio Ahanta are out of the Metropolis but within the catchment area.
