Much has been said about the symptoms of the novel corona virus since it showed its ugly head on our land. One of these important issues had to do with the number of days it took for symptoms to show. Initially, it was estimated that, at most within fourteen days of infection, the COVID-19 symptoms becomes evident.
The corroboration by WHO in view of the fourteen days symptomatic period, made it more reliable for medical decisions to be made.
However, there seems to be a new twist to the initial symptomatic information we heard about the virus.
New discovery to COVID-19 incubating period is now estimated at a 24-36 days as per information from various reliable sources indicate .
In a study, an outlier of a 24 days incubation period has been observed. There is also another case with a 27 days incubation period reported by Hubei Province local government.

COVID-19 360 is a show hosted by a TV station in Ghana dedicated to educating the public about the nitty-gritties of COVID-19.
Despite this new dynamics, WHO has said at the time that, it could actually be a reflection of a new exposure, rather than a long incubation period. By this, they were not going to change recommendations.

In medical science it is possible for different people to have different periods at which they would exhibit symptoms of the same disease. Or it is possible for some individual to exhibit symptoms earlier than others do.
What can account for this are:
Some people may be infected with more viral load than others.
Differences in people’s immunity also accounts for why some may be symptomatic and others asymptomatic.
That is, if you have strong immune system, it helps to fight the virus more effectively.
As stated better by a medical research expert “individuals are genetically different and some have a more efficient immune response to initially counteract the virus”
Hence, the public is advised to stay responsibly, adhere to all the hygiene protocols.

Practice social distancing, wear your face mask when you have to go out.
Then stay home if you don’t have anything important to do outside of your home.
You don’t have any idea who is carrying COVID-19.
There are people walking around the street who do not know themselves are COVID-19 carriers and hence are unknowingly infecting people.

Remember some people due to the effectiveness and efficiency of their immune system are able to fight the novel corona virus even when they get infected.
You don’t no the strength of your immune system so don’t expose yourself.
Protect your self, family, friends and the world will soon become sound and safe again.
