FIFA after thorough assessment have pushed the competition dates for the two juvenile women’s tournaments to 2021 amidst the COVID – 19 Pandemic.
The decision affords CAF ample time to establish new dates for the two competitions.

CAF communicates the postponement of all competitions on April 4, 2020 due to the COVID – 19 Pandemic and is expected to announce new dates in line with the new dates by FIFA.
The FIFA U – 20 Women’s World Cup to be hosted by Costa Rica will now come off from January 20 – February 6, 2021 – with the original eligibility age unchanged for players born on or after 1 January 2000 and on or before 31 December 2004.
Ghana will be facing Guinea-Bissau in the first round of the qualifiers.

FIFA U – 17 Women’s World Cup with India as the host is expected to come off from February 17 to March 7, 2021. The eligibility age range is unchanged from January 2003 and on or before December 31, 2005.
The Black Maidens reached the final round of qualifiers after whitewashing Liberia 10-0 on aggregate with their rivals Nigeria also trouncing Guinea 10-2.

The two nations will have to wait on a new date from CAF.
