TP Mazembe emerged winners of the 2019/2020 DR League after decision from DR Congo Football Association(FECOFA) ended the season due to the COVID – 19 Pandemic.
Executives of the DRC federation met on Wednesday and took the decision to end prematurely the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 with immediate effect.

The rapid spread of the coronavirus led to the suspension of the leagues on March 16, 2020 and the virus being named a global pandemic by World Health Organization.
The decision has led to TP Mazembe declared champions of the Congolese top-flight considering the league standings as of the time the of suspension.

With 53 points from 20 games, the Lubumbashi side followed by bitterest rivals AS Vita Club with 42 points from 21 games in second place after 24 rounds of matches.
TP Mazembe and AS Vita Club will however represent DR Congo in the next CAF Champions League campaign.
AS Maniema Union and Daring Motema Pembe were placed 3rd and 4th respectively and will be competing in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
