Member of the Ghana Football Association medical team, Dr. Prince Pambo has unwelcoming opinion towards any oncoming plan to resume the Ghana Premier League behind closed doors.
There has been report that the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council are contemplating on plan the remaining 19 games behind closed doors.

In an exclusive interview on ROK FM in Takoradi, the astute doctor disclosed that Ghana league teams basically rely on gate fees accrued from league games to pay salaries of players, staff and to take care of other expenses which makes it very unlikely for the idea.

“To play league games behind closed doors is not feasible for now though it might be considered some day, I don’t see the need to play football games behind closed doors since the teams rely on the gate fees to settle salaries of players, staff and other expenses.
Dr Pambo reiterated that those European leagues aiming to return to active football have all the measures in place and all their matches will be telecasted live on television for the fans to sit at home and enjoy.

“The European leagues especially the German Bundesliga will be telecasted live. I mean all the matches will be shown live on television for the fans to sit in the comfort of their homes and enjoy.
He also adviced athletes to do well and train on their own and to eat healthy foods to avoid growing fat.
“If there is the need, athletes must train on their own, watch videos of the games they play and learn more and to eat healthy foods to avoid growing fat. Athletes can also go to the beaches when there is nobody or few people around to train. It can be early in the mornings or late in the evenings” – Dr. Pambo on ROK FM.
