The Western Region of Ghana has reportedly recorded 63 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, totaling the region’s cases to 233.
According to news coming in, out of the 5,235 samples taken, 2,519 have been tested of which 233 of the result are positive.

The region is likely to record more of the cases as 2,716 results are still pending.
The Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis alone has recorded 120 of the cases followed by Tarkwa-Nsuaem with 63 cases while Effia/Kwesimintsim have recorded 18.
Ahanta West have recorded 10 cases same as Nzema East. Prestea Huni-Valley and Shama have recorded 4 each while Ellembele and Mpohor district have recorded 3 and 1 cases respectively.

Amenfi East and Jomoro West & Central as well as Wassa East have not recorded a case yet.
