The Centre for Languages and Liberal Studies (CELLIBS) of the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) has donated health items to six Communities in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region.
This forms part of CELLIBS’s contribution towards the fight against the novel Coronavirus which has taken the lives of a million across the globe.
CELLIBS donated health products as such: Veronica buckets, liquid soaps, tissue papers, hand sanitizers and other assorted items to the six communities namely: Sekondi (Markets), B.U, Kwesimintsim, Effiakuma, Assakae and Ngyiresia.

Speaking after the presentation, the Dean of CELLIBS, Dr. Kofi Asante Kyei indicated that, the items were donated in order to strengthen the selected communities in the fight against the deadly Coronavirus disease.
He urged the communities to adhere to the safety measures put out by the Ghana Health Service to help mitigate the spread of the virus.
He additionally, tasked the communities to make good use of the items donated to them as the fight against the virus continues.
The Assemblyman for Ngyiresia/Mempeasem Electoral Area Fuseini Acquah during the presentation at Ngyiresia, expressed his profound gratitude to CELLIBS for the kind gesture and urged Ghanaians to adhere to the precautionary measures to help control the spread of the virus .
