The current trend of transmitting news content from Accra and Kumasi has reduced the attention given to news contents and happenings around people in the Sekondi-Takoradi with the situation already escalating in this era of Corona Virus Pandemic.
The global pandemic has necessitated everyone paying critical attention to happenings around them.

The issue has even worsened in Sekondi-Takoradi with 20 stations in the twin city transmitting directly from Accra and Kumasi.
Western Region, the third most populous region in Ghana with the number of cases already approaching 800(as at June 8, 2020). There’s the need to pay critical attention to happenings around and report cases as and when so indigenes can appreciate the extent of the damage.
19 out of the 20 stations in the twin city pick news feed directly from Accra with the only station picking from Kumasi is Fox FM.
Peace FM is transmitted across the most with 6 stations, Adom FM is closely followed with 5 stations and Citi FM is heard on 3 stations.

Skyy Power FM airs its locally produced content at 1:00pm but transmit from Citi FM’s Eye Witness news at 6:00P.M.
Connect FM, Empire FM, Rok and Good News FM have similar local content churned out in-between hours.
