Family of late Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Anthony Kobina Kurentsir Sam has opened up about their lost for the first time.
A Facebook post by the son of the late mayor, Kweku Sagoe, who’s a media practitioner on behalf of the family talked about the news for the first time.
The news of the death of the 62-year-old occured on Friday, June 12 at the University of Ghana Medical Center.

According to the post, the late mayor was admitted at the hospital on June 6, 2020 and gave up the ghost exactly 6 days afterwards.

He left behind 6 children; three boys and girls.

“Farewell Daddy, gone from our sight but never from our hearts
“I write on behalf of the family to officially inform friends, loved ones and the general public of the demise of our be- loved Hon. Anthony K. K Sam(MCE, Sekondi-Takoradi) which happened on Friday, 12th June, 2020 around 4:15 pm at University of Ghana Hospital in Accra.
“Hon. K. K. Sam was admitted at the hospital on Sunday, June 7.
“He was born on the 17th October, 1957 and left behind a wife and 6 children.
@Florence Yaa Sam, Kweku Sagoe, James Tawiah, Sam Oretha, Sam Oh Joe and Nuella Sam.
“Any information about the funeral arrangements will be made known as and when through the STMA.
