Reports reaching www.kyfilla.com from the Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti Region reveal that the sitting Member of Parliament Okyem Aboagye is sharing monies to delegates ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) primaries set for today, June 20, 2020.
Hon. Okyem Aboagye is seeking to represent Bantama for the second time on the ticket of the NPP in the general elections but will have to defeat Deputy Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Asenso-Boakye for the ticket in the NPP Primaries set for today.
With Bantama set as one of the hotpot for the primaries, it’s being reported that, the sitting MP is given out cash to delegates in few hours to the primaries.
According to reports from the Constituency , the sitting MP on Friday afternoon invited delegates to his house for dialogue and after that gave them GH¢2000 each and his campaign booklets.

The reports further State that, two of the delegates who were absent from the invitation had their monies sent to them but unfortunately turned down the monies from the MP.
The two delegates have reportedly refused to touch the monies given to them, leaving the monies on the floor.
It is believed that the action of the sitting MP is to buy the vote of these delegates in the upcoming NPP Primaries.
