The ruling New Patriotic Party held their primaries today, June 20, 2020 to elect parliamentary candidates for the upcoming general elections.
374 aspirants contested for the primaries in 168 Constituencies. Out of the 374 candidates, 325 were males while 51 were females with 67 going unopposed.
After the primaries, some sitting MP’s have lost their chance to contest for the upcoming general elections which will be held in December 7, 2020.
