Leaders of various political parties met with the Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh and other members of Police Management Board to discuss topics relating to Elections 2020 at the Police Headquarters, Accra.
The were several topics touched on at the meeting with the Paramount one being the security towards the December 7, 2020 general elections.
The meeting was aimed at ensuring a peaceful 2020 general election.
Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh at the meeting assured all political parties of fairness as the police go about their security job and again asked for collaboration from all political parties.

“Crime has no colours, so is security,” said IGP Mr. Oppong-Boanuh while urging the political parties to work with the police to ensure a peaceful electoral process.
The police top hierachy also had to listen to some expectations of various political parties, which were shared by their leadership’s.
The parties in separate statements emphasized the need for police officers to conduct themselves in a way that will cause the public to repose confidence in them. The IGP assured them of police professionalism.
