Amos Frimpong has been labeled as hypocrite and someone who lacks leadership qualities by his former team mate Abass Mohammed.
Abass Mohammed who’s currently plying his trade in Nigeria with Enyimba revealed to Akonobia FM how the former Asante Kotoko skipper contributed to an impasse between players from Sunyani and Kumasi.

Abass, who joined Asante Kotoko from Medeama SC revealed the Kumasi-based presenters created an enmity between the players from Brong Ahafo and those from Kumasi.
He said an impression was created that Saddick Adams(from Sunyani) was fighting to dethrone Amos Frimpong(from Kumasi) as the captain.
“The media in Kumasi created an enmity between the BA guys and Kumasi guys in the Asante Kotoko team. The media in Kumasi are the cause of the woes of the team.

“They created the impression that we the Sunyani boys were fighting for Sadick Adams to be named captain of the team.
“Our captain Amos Frimpong was a hypocrite, he’s a good player but lacks leadership qualities” – Former Asante Kotoko striker Abas Mohammed.

Saddick Adams despite a last day impressive performamce which saw him banged in three goals in the FA Cup final at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in a 3-1 win against Hearts of Oak, saw his contract not renewed as he moved to AshantiGold SC.
Abass Mohammed also had to move on to Enyimba in Nigeria.
