Ashgold Sporting Club newly signed winger, Yaw Annor is hopeful of playing for Asante Kotoko in the near future.
The 22-year old talented winger was on the wanted list of Asante Kotoko but opted to sign for regional rivals Ashgold SC.
Though he has signed a three-year deal with Ashgold, Yaw Annor has disclosed that he was a top target for Kotoko head coach Maxwell’s Konadu.

Due to that, he has rendered an apology to coach Maxwell Konadu, stating that he is only hoping to join Asante Kotoko in future.
“I want to sincerely apologise to coach Maxwell Konadu for opting to sign for Ashgold, it wasn’t my fault to do this. He [Maxwell Konadu] needed me badly at Kotoko but am sorry for disappointing him.
“Though the deal couldn’t go through but am confident of succeeding at Ashgold and am hopeful I will return to Asante Kotoko”, Yaw Annor told Kumasi FM.
