Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council has shared a total sum of 270,000 USD among the 18 Ghana Premier League clubs as part of the disbursement of the FIFA and CAF COVID-19 Relief Funds.
The decision was arrived at in a meeting held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.
Following the invalidation of the 2019/2020 Season due to the outbreak of the Global pandemic, Coronavirus, both CAF and FIFA have come to the aid of member associations with specific funds to support the members.

The GFA after gathering notices of 2m USD from FIFA, a special 500,000 USD for the development and assisting Women’s football and 300,000 USD from CAF has shared the relief funds as follows.
The 18 topflight clubs will receive 10,000 USD first trench of payment by the end of July 2020 and the remaining 5,000 USD paid later on in January 2021.
In a relating statement the GFA clarified that funds from both FIFA and CAF are yet to be received.
Also, the 16 Women’s Premier League clubs are to receive, 10,000 USD with the 48 Division One League clubs to pocket 7,500 USD.
