Two policemen have drowned in the Oda River while pursuing armed robbers.
According to reports reaching www.kyfilla.com, two Lance Corporals with the name Stephen Kyeremeh and Amedius Akwasi Boateng of the Obuasi District Police Command were drowned in the Oda River while pursuing some gangs of armed robbers.

The two heard of a small scale miners who have been attacked by some gangs of armed robbers and were heading to Krobo, a village near Jacobu in the Amansie Central District in Ashanti Region.
While on their way to the site, they were joined by Sergeant Isaac Nyamekye and colleague James Ahiman.

The four hired a canoe to cross the Oda River to the site where the Miners have been attacked.

While they are returning, the canoe capsized but the two Sergeants managed to swim ashore but the two Lance corporals are yet to be traced.
